What is the Te Araroa?

Te Araroa is te reo for The Long Pathway.

It was officially opened on 3 December 2011 by the Governor-General of New Zealand, Sir Jerry Mateparae.  For anyone interested in reading about the vision of the TA and the formation events, a terrific timeline can be found here: https://www.teararoa.org.nz/overviewhistory/

There is a wiki page, loads of trail blogs, and a brains trust on Facebook. This is also where you will find a very special resource, the TA Trail Angels.
